Me, myself and Innsbrook After hours

Im Kelsi, a 23 year old music lover born in Charleston, South Carolina. Of course VA is where I reside; raised in the finest fields of Cartersville, to the deepest roads of Richmond. Anywhere from my country daisy dukes and cowboy boots to my rock and roll crop tops and flip flops, you can find me at any show possible where my soul is involved; music. I’ll listen to any flavor, its the one thing in life I’m not picky about. To me, music is much more than words, it’s a feeling you get when you put your hand on your chest as the beat drops or even the emotion on the singers face as they belt out that one line that’s so alive it sends chills down your spine. Music is an art, a surrender, and if you ever have a speck of doubt in your mind to that, try going a day without it. Better yet, try walking down any block in RVA without hearing it. Music is a necessity; a way of life :) Now that I’ve expressed my ridiculous passion for music, (inevitably) get ready for the best summer yet at Innsbrook After Hours!!!!
Look for more posts coming from me soon :))

2014 Anticipation!

Ahhh as the tempting summer winds creep in slowly, so does the mysterious lineup for IAH 2014!!!!! Quickly approaching this highly anticipated summer, I can’t help but to daydream about Dierks Bentley and how he will (ever so stunningly) top off the heat to this summer on September 11th!! Ohhh Dierks, “I’ll hold on”, as long as you would ever so kindly bring back that curly hair 😍For those of you who actually attended the show last summer, how in the worldddd could we forget his passionate soul singing through the raindrops?!! Yes, it was slam-packed, sold-out and filled with screaming girls and cowboys, but oh so worth the claustrophobia 😎 I can’t WAIT until this season kicks off!! And as for you Dierks, “come a little closer”, and be the cherry that tops off this crazyyy summer 2014 at IAH!!! 😝😝 #iah2014 #kELsi

Soggy boots won’t stop ’em.

Although the forecast reported grey skies and weary minds, that still wasn’t enough to stop our country lovers from stacking out front of the gate to see Randy Houser and Jerrod Neimann 👉(truly)👈show us how country feels. 😎 As buckets of rain poured, those saxophones and bass guitars rippled through the drenched venue. Not one dry cowboy boot in that field proved IAH of it’s loyal and ohhh so dedicated country fans. 🙌 Meanwhile, the following show seemed to sprint towards us. As the venue swarmed in with music and love, in marched thousands of hungry ears to hear flavorful reggae beats that brought out the rays in our souls; inevitably, RVA could feel for miles.✌️ As many could recall, the barefoot Boston band soulfully referred to as “The Adam Ezra Group” played through the glare as the night was topped off with the Rusted Roots, and finally The Wailers🙌
👉Two totally different flavors of music at the same exact venue (easily) within days of each other. This undoubtedly reminds me of why IAH will always hold it down for the 🎶beautifully🎶 diverse, RVA🙌. And to think, this summer has only just begun😝. #IAH2014 #kELsi

Background Music

Country, rock, jazz or hip-hop; whatever language of music you speak, it becomes almost a subconscious routine in your crazy life; background music, if you would! Ponder on it…cooking, biking, cleaning, fighting, driving, dancing…walking or just riding. Every situation in a day has a personal song (to you) that could perfectly match up to it. Songs could almost speak for us the entire day if we let them! Background music in our own mind defines how we deal with situations, whether we want to be amped up, or cry it out. It feeds your thoughts and quenches your feelings. What better time for setting background music than summertime?! Dust off those sunglasses and cut-off jeans and let Innsbrook After hours be your summertime background music <3We’ll provide the incredible talent and fresh air as long as you bring lasting friends and prepare to make some untouchable memories this summer RVA <3
